Olubadan: CAN hails Ladoja’s ascension, prays for prosperity

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Oyo State Chapter, has described the ascension of former Governor Rashidi Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan Land as a development that will usher in peace, prosperity, and greater progress for the ancient city.

Oyo State CAN Chairman, Apostle Joshua Akinyemiju, made this known in a congratulatory statement issued on Thursday in Ibadan.

Akinyemiju noted that Ladoja had distinguished himself through intelligence, leadership, and service to humanity.

“On behalf of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Oyo State Chapter, I heartily congratulate you on your selection and approval as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadan Land,” he said.

The cleric said ascending the Olubadan throne was a historic milestone, adding that Ladoja’s dedication and resilience would continue to guide his reign.

“It is our unwavering belief that the dedication, ability, and resilience that got you to the throne will serve you well as you lead with justice, fairness, and equity.

It is our supplication to God that you thrive on the challenges and joy this ascendancy brings,” Akinyemiju added.

He prayed for God’s guidance and strength for the incoming monarch.

Ladoja, a former governor of Oyo State, also represented Ibadan North-West in the Senate. He will ascend the throne as Olubadan on Friday.
