…hails late APC spokesman’s loyalty, brilliance, and service to state, party

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Sunday paid glowing tribute to the late Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye, describing him as a key figure in the formation and stability of his administration, and a tireless defender of its policies and ideals until his final days.

Speaking at the Fidau prayer held at St. John Community Primary School, Ijebu Itele, the governor reflected on the life of the former Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, praising his unflinching loyalty, remarkable intellect, and passionate commitment to public service.

“Oladunjoye never believed in half measures. He went out of his way to defend our programmes, policies, and the image of our administration. He was a voice of courage and easily the best spokesman Ogun APC has ever produced,” Abiodun declared.

He described the late Oladunjoye as one of the three executive committee members who played a crucial role in stabilising his administration at its inception, adding that his dedication and political sagacity left a lasting impact.

“Tunde was a prolific writer, a dogged fighter, and a passionate advocate for the common man. As a former local government chairman, his legacy speaks for itself. He was selfless, fearless, and focused. He was very dear to my heart,” the governor added.

He assured the bereaved family of the government’s full support during this difficult time, praying for God to grant Oladunjoye’s soul eternal rest and comfort his loved ones.

Also speaking at the prayer session, the APC State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, recalled their long-standing political journey and the late spokesman’s instrumental role in strengthening the party in Ogun State, describing his passing as “devastating and tragic.”

In his own remarks, the State 2025 Amirul Hajj and National President of ACOMORAN, Prince Adebayo Apelogun, urged all to live purposeful lives, noting that “Oladunjoye did his best and has gone to rest with his maker.”

The late Oladunjoye’s daughter, Robiat, offered a heartfelt tribute, describing her father as upright, peaceful, and principled.

“He instilled in us contentment and simplicity. He was a father to many, a gift to humanity, and his legacy will live on,” she said.
