The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled a high-level strategic caucus meeting for Monday, April 13, 2026, at the party’s state secretariat in Abeokuta.
This gathering is designed to strengthen internal unity and evaluate the current political landscape within the state as the party charts its future trajectory.
According to a press statement signed by the State Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, the meeting will serve as a critical platform for senior stakeholders to review recent political developments and align on a forward-looking course for the organization.
The assembly brings together an extensive array of party leadership, reflecting a broad consultative approach to governance and party administration.
Stakeholders also note that the Caucus will seize the occasion to also discuss the gubernatorial candidacy for the state’s forthcoming primary elections with talks of consensus being considered
The invitation also extends to a comprehensive list of influential figures, including the State Chairman and his predecessors, as well as serving and past State Secretaries and Deputy Chairmen.
The executive wing will be represented by current and former Governors and Deputy Governors, alongside the party’s gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates. Legislative representation will also be significant, comprising serving and past members of the National Assembly, as well as principal officers of the State House of Assembly, including past Speakers and Deputy Speakers.
In addition to elected officials, the caucus will include the Secretary to the State Government and various members of the State Executive Committee, such as the Party Treasurer, the State Woman Leader, the State Youth Leader, and the State Legal Adviser. Specialized representation has also been mandated for the State Leader of Persons Living with Disabilities.
.The meeting will further incorporate voices from the national and zonal executive committees, national caucus members from the state, and six additional representatives selected from the three senatorial districts.
Scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM, the meeting underscores the party’s intent to maintain a unified front through rigorous internal dialogue.
Stakeholders and invited members are expected to attend promptly as the party prepares to solidify its strategy and organizational structure in the lead-up to future electoral engagements.
