The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has urged the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi to get off the high of his rabid movement.
Onanuga’s remarks follows Obi’s appearance in an interview on Channels Television on Sunday.
Rebutting remarks made by the former Anambra State governor during the broadcast, the presidential aide, in a statement on Monday, alleged that Obi misinformed the public regarding the religious composition of his cabinet while serving as governor, accusing him of attempting to manipulate political sentiments to further his presidential ambition.
Onanuga noted that the impact of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is already visible across the country through several social and economic interventions.
He explained that the administration’s outreach teams have been actively assessing the impact of government policies across the geopolitical zones and gathering feedback from citizens.
“If Obi cares, there’s a digital binder full of reports of Nigeria’s economic turnaround under the current administration, inclusive of many transformative projects, policies, and programmes, such as NELFUND, that are impacting Nigerians at the critical cellular level,” he added.
