The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has welcomed Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as JANDOR, back to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing his decision as a bold and timely move.
Dr. Adediran, who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State during the 2023 elections, was received on Tuesday at Hon. Obasa’s official residence in Ikeja GRA.

Speaking during the reception, Hon. Obasa declared: “Your return to APC is a very good move. We are happy to have you back. The progressive family remains the true representation of the yearnings and aspirations of Lagosians and Nigerians at large.”
The Speaker assured JANDOR of full reintegration into the party’s structures, pledging continued collaboration in the quest to deliver quality governance to the people of Lagos State.
In a statement, Dr. Adediran expressed gratitude for the warm reception, stressing that his decision was driven by a renewed commitment to work with the APC for the progress of Lagos and Nigeria. He praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as courageous economic reforms, particularly in the area of taxation.
“It takes courage and leadership to introduce such reforms in the face of resistance. The President has once again demonstrated his resolve to put the people first, and I align fully with this vision,” JANDOR stated.
The meeting ended on a cordial note, with both leaders pledging to work together to strengthen the APC and advance the welfare of Lagos residents.
