Oba Ladoja snubbed Adeleke’s commissioning because of poor construction quality — Omowaiye alleges

The Head of Media and Publicity of the Osun APC Campaign Council, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, has alleged that the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, snubbed the commissioning of the Lameco flyover bridge in Osogbo on Wednesday due to the poor quality of the construction.
Speaking during his appearance on ‘Politics Tonight’ on Channels TV on Wednesday evening, Omowaiye alleged that the Lameco flyover project was awarded to a firm he claimed was registered as a real estate agency.
Omowaiye alleged that the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, who was expected to commission the project, may have boycotted the event due to concerns regarding its structural integrity.
“A flyover construction project was awarded to an estate agency company, Ascorj Nigerian Limited. The project was expected to be commissioned by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rasheed Ladoja, but he did not attend the event. Apparently, I am sure the Kabiyesi received information that the project was substandard.”
“How can you award a flyover project to a company that is registered as an estate agent? Under Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration, a proposed international airport project worth N100 billion was awarded to an interior decoration company, with the Governor targeting the construction of a 5.6-kilometer runway, which he described as the longest runway in the world.”
“When I see members of the Accord Party talking, they think people are fools. They want our Kabiyesi to commission a substandard project, a project awarded to an estate agent. This is a project that, even before completion, has already started developing structural defects.”
“What we are saying is that the resources coming into the state are immense, and they should be managed better. It will surprise you to know that Osun is the only state in the South-West that has not done anything significant with the Electricity Act,” Omowaiye said.
