NewsDirect bags outstanding newspaper of the year award

Nigerian NewsDirect has been crowned the “Outstanding Newspaper of the Year” at the recently concluded 15th edition of the prestigious ACE Awards.

The annual awards ceremony, which was held in Lagos, attracted a stellar lineup of notable personalities from both the public and private sectors, including government officials, business leaders, entrepreneurs, media practitioners, and social influencers.

Speaking at the event, the Publisher of ACE Magazine and host of the awards, Otunba Olusegun Adeleke, described the platform as an initiative conceived to celebrate exceptional Nigerians who have distinguished themselves through excellence, leadership, and impactful contributions to national development.

“This is our own little way of celebrating people who have done exceptionally well in their various industries and fields of endeavour. Our goal is simple: to honor true icons of excellence with integrity and distinction,” Otunba Adeleke stated.

Receiving the plaque on behalf of the media organization, Mrs. Titilayo Ibiyemi commended the organizers for sustaining a credible platform that consistently celebrates excellence across various industries.

“This recognition is a profound honor for everyone at Nigerian NewsDirect,” she remarked.

“It is a testament to the continuous innovation, resilience, and growth being witnessed under the visionary leadership of Prince Mathew Ibiyemi as Publisher and the entire board of NewsDirect. We are deeply motivated to keep pushing the boundaries of journalism and impactful reporting,” she added.

The glamourous event featured magazine presentations, special recognitions, and high-level networking sessions.

Alongside Nigerian NewsDirect, several other distinguished personalities and industry captains were honored for their outstanding contributions to society.

Among the notable awardees were Mr Yemi Sonde (CEO, Yes FM Radio), Ambassador Princess Omobolanle (Founder, SEWWAS/BTC Skills Training Institute), CSP Murphy Akanbi (Commander, SWAT Unit, Ogun State), Otunba Olumide Osusina (CEO, Megamound Investment Limited) amongst a host of other distinguished personalities and organizations.

Dignitaries at the event praised the organizers for maintaining a platform that promotes social responsibility, while award recipients noted that the recognition serves as a powerful motivation to continue contributing positively to Nigeria’s growth.
