The operational capacity of the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) has received a boost following the donation of office accommodation by the Federal Institute for Industrial Research (FIIRO), Oshodi, Lagos State.
Director-General of NESREA, Prof. Innocent Barikor, received the development during a courtesy visit to the Director-General of FIIRO, Dr. Mrs. Jummai Adamu Tutuwa, and described the gesture as significant support for environmental governance.
Prof. Barikor stated that the office space would accommodate one of the three operational offices established by NESREA to enhance its efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness in Lagos State.
He appreciated Dr. Mrs. Tutuwa and her team, noting that the partnership between NESREA and FIIRO would be mutually beneficial, particularly in the areas of industrial research, innovation, and environmental sustainability.
In her remarks, Dr. Mrs. Tutuwa said the institute looks forward to the exchange of ideas and collaboration in areas where the mandates of both organisations align.
