The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, conducted an official working visit to the Lagos State Records and Archives Bureau (LASRAB).
Mr. Agoro was received by the Director-General of the Bureau, Mr. Amodu Razaak, alongside senior management staff at the LASRAB headquarters.
The visit serves as a strategic assessment of the Bureau’s operations, underscoring the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration’s broader objective to enhance service delivery through digitized and well-preserved public records.
Accompanying the Head of Service were high-ranking officials, including the Permanent Secretary of the Public Service Office, Mrs. Sunkanmi Oyegbola, and the Secretary of the Staff Housing and Loans Board, Mr. Rahman Ishola.
During the engagement, the delegation toured the Bureau’s operational areas, assessing the environment and the technical facilities used for the archival of the state’s historical and administrative documents.
The Head of Service emphasized that strengthening agencies like LASRAB is critical for maintaining institutional efficiency and ensuring that the Lagos State Public Service remains at the forefront of modern governance.
By prioritizing the integrity of state records, the government aims to facilitate smoother administrative transitions and more transparent public service processes.
The Director-General, Mr. Razaak, expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that the presence of the Head of Service signals a renewed focus on the importance of archival management in the state’s ongoing digital transformation journey.
