NERC, NEMSA inaugurate joint technical committee

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) have inaugurated a Joint Technical Committee to strengthen stronger inter-agency collaboration on technical, safety, operational and compliance matters across the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

The initiative is aimed at enhancing coordination in the discharge of their respective regulatory and technical oversight responsibilities, while promoting greater efficiency within the electricity sector.

The Joint Technical Committee is co-chaired by Engr. Abu Kadiri of NERC and Engr. Haruna M. of NEMSA, who will serve as the lead coordinators for their respective organisations. The Committee will provide a platform for regular collaboration on key technical issues, facilitate information sharing, and strengthen institutional cooperation in addressing emerging challenges within the industry.
