The Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is set to host renowned crisis leadership expert, Dakuku Peterside, for an exclusive leadership briefing in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The event, slated to hold for Wednesday, April 15, 2026, forms part of the Board’s initiative to promote intellectual engagement, literacy, and critical thinking through its series spotlighting prominent Nigerian authors.

As the fourth edition, the briefing marks a notable shift, as it will be the first to feature a leadership scholar.

“Dr. Peterside and his award-winning book, Leading in a Storm. Named THISDAY’s Leadership Book of the Year 2025 and one of six Independent Newspaper must-reads for 2025, the book delivers practical strategies for thriving amid crises,” the Board said in a statement obtained on Monday.

During the session, Peterside is expected to deliver insights on crisis leadership within Nigeria’s socio-economic context, with particular emphasis on the oil and gas sector and broader national development challenges. His presentation will address how leaders can effectively manage uncertainty, implement reforms, and drive institutional transformation.

“With over 24 years of high-level experience across public and private sectors, Dr. Peterside has transformed complex institutions and programs through systemic reform. He serves as an adjunct lecturer at top business schools, mentoring emerging leaders with real-world wisdom. Author of two other books and developing a fourth, he remains a pivotal voice in values-driven leadership development,” the statement added.

The NCDMB, through its corporate communications and social responsibility programmes, continues to champion Nigerian authors and intellectual discourse across both fiction and non-fiction genres, as part of its broader mandate to foster knowledge-driven development and innovation in the country.
