Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has flagged off a major road construction project in Miga Local Government Area, announcing that the project is part of a larger N30 billion plan earmarked for road network development across the state, with a focus on underserved areas.

Governor Namadi launched the construction of the Tsakuwawa-Koya-Kafin Hausa Road at Kwanar Tsakuwawa, Miga Local Government. The road project covers a length of 30 kilometers and was awarded at a cost of N7billion. It is scheduled for completion in 2026.

The Governor clarified that this N7 billion project is a segment of the N30 billion allocated to execute infrastructure projects in hard-to-reach areas within selected parts of the state.

Governor Namadi described Miga Local Government as a vital agricultural area with significant food production potential.

He emphasized that the new road network is a strategic investment that will directly benefit farmers along the route, enabling them to move their farm produce to markets and residences with ease, thereby reducing post-harvest losses and boosting the local economy.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Project Manager for Btosino Limited, the company handling the construction, Mr. Chen Cheng, assured the State Government and the local community of high standards.

Mr. Chen pledged that the company would deliver a quality work product within the stipulated period, committing to adhere strictly to the official agreement and specific schedule.
