NAF destroys terrorist logistics hub in Southern tumbuns

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has carried out a successful air interdiction operation against terrorist logistics in the Southern Tumbuns, dealing a significant blow to insurgent activities in the area.

The precision strike was executed at Dabar Masara, a location identified through credible intelligence as a terrorist stronghold used for logistics and operational support.

The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist movements and weaken their supply chains.

According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, intelligence reports revealed the presence of a terrorist workshop and sustained movement of armed elements at the location. Acting on this information, the Air Component of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, deployed a coordinated force package.

The mission involved intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, followed by precision strike missions. After positive identification of the targets and in strict compliance with the Rules of Engagement, the Air Force engaged the location.

A post-operation battle damage assessment confirmed that the targeted vehicles were destroyed and several terrorist elements were neutralised.

The NAF said the success of the operation highlights its commitment to intelligence-led and precise air operations, aimed at degrading terrorist networks and improving security in conflict-affected areas across the country.
