On Monday 25th, October 2021, a gay man in his late 30s, Uba Ikenna Joes, who hails from Okija Town, Ihiala Local Govt Area, Anambra State, was caught pant down with his friend Emeka (alias Mekuzee) in a ‘SODOMY’ an act of sacrilege against the community tradition/ extant laws of Nigeria.
During the struggle, Emeka escaped leaving Joes in the hands of the angry youths, who took turns in hitting and beating him with bare hands and sticks. According to eye witnesses, the angry youths bound themselves with a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Joes, the intervention of divine providence through a clergy man and his members, who whisked him off from the spot and saved him from the impending jungle justice.
The community leaders and the youths reported the incident to the Police, since then the community as well as the authorities are in serious search of Joes, hence he is a ‘WANTED’ person!!!
