Lagos Gov't receives new 24-car train for Red line

By Fredrick Ameh
The Lagos State Government has expanded its rail capacity following the arrival of a new set of 24-car trains to strengthen operations on the Lagos Red Line.
The additional rolling stock is expected to increase passenger capacity, reduce wait times, and enhance daily commuting for Lagos residents.
The move aligns with ongoing efforts to build a more efficient and reliable urban transport system capable of meeting the city’s growing mobility demands.
With ridership increasing on the Red Line corridor, this expansion is seen as a critical step toward easing congestion and improving service delivery across the Lagos public transportation network.
