Lagos Assembly confirms Sanwo-Olu's appointees for LSERC, LSSTF

The Lagos State House of Assembly has approved several nominees forwarded by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for strategic positions in key state agencies.

The confirmation exercise took place on Thursday during plenary, presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

During the screening, each nominee appeared before the 40-member House to outline their vision, plans, and potential contributions to strengthen service delivery in the state.

Lawmakers engaged them in detailed questioning to assess their readiness and capability for the roles.

Following the deliberations, the House confirmed the appointments of Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti as Chairman of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund; Engr. Olopade Adekunle as Executive Member of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission (LSERC); Barr. Mrs. Temitope George as Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Electricity Commission; Mr. Alexander Akinwunmi as Chairman of LSERC; Mr. Falola Olakunle as Executive Member of LSERC; and Mr. Bello Wasiu Oladimeji as Non-Executive Member of LSERC.

However, the confirmation of Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, nominated for the Lagos State Parking Authority, was deferred for further review.

Lawmakers noted that additional considerations were required before her appointment could be finalised.
