Kwara experiencing unrivaled growth — Kwara Kingmakers hail AbdulRazaq

A high-ranking chief and Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammad Aliyu Adebayo, has hailed Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq noting that the State has witnessed unrivaled growth and development through strategic investments in basic infrastructure.
Aliyu, the most senior Balogun of Ilorin and a member of the Kingmakers’ Council in the Emirate, recalled the ugly experiences of residents under past governments and noted that Governor AbdulRazaq has changed the narrative by making potable water, good roads, and healthcare services accessible to the people.
He spoke in Ilorin on Sunday when he received candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a “thank you” visit to Ilorin East Local Government, led by the gubernatorial candidate and Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu.
The high chief said that Rt. Hon. Danladi would ride on the giant strides of Governor AbdulRazaq to secure an overwhelming vote from the natives, especially the residents of Ilorin East, in the upcoming elections.
“All 12 wards in Ilorin East Local Government have benefited greatly under this administration. So, it is a point of pride and our guarantee that the incoming governor will get our votes. We are going to give him and other candidates of the party maximum support,” he said through the Baba-Isale of Ilorin, Alhaji Mustapha Abdullahi.
The Baba-Isale spoke in the Balogun’s presence at the palace, where the Magaji Aare, Alhaji Shuaib Aremu Zubair, and all the Alanguas and Magajis within the district were present.
“All traditional chiefs in Ilorin East are working for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq because of his commitment to the development of the council and the state in general,” the Balogun said.
“Are you still going around with plastic buckets to fetch water? Before this administration, they used to supply water to various communities using water tankers. That is no longer the case. As for the road network, it is evident that some people can no longer recognize certain areas within the city due to rapid development.”
“We are well aware that this development cuts across all local government areas in the state. What else are we looking for? We simply need to support the man who is doing a wonderful job.”
“We believe that SYD will consolidate the gains of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration. On behalf of Ilorin East and the entire Ilorin Emirate, we declare our support for you and pray for your success,” he added.
The candidates also visited the palace of the Balogun Fulani, Alhaji Sidiq Abubakar Atiku Fulani, alongside selected Alanguas and Magajis within the local government area.
The Balogun Fulani, Alhaji Atiku, pledged his support and prayed for the success of Hon. Danladi and other candidates of the party.
Additionally, the Alangua Opolo and Chairman of the Alangua and Magaji Forum in the Emirate, Alhaji Zulkarnaini AbdulRahman, appealed to the gubernatorial candidate, Danladi, to improve the welfare of village heads if given the mandate.
The APC campaign trail later converged at the M&M Event Centre in Ilorin, where the candidates and key stakeholders addressed party supporters from both Ilorin East and Ilorin South.
A top chieftain of the party in Ilorin East, Alhaji Usman Bibire Ajape, enjoined APC members and supporters to remain focused and avoid distractions.
He noted that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration has laid a solid foundation for the state’s development.
“There is no reason why we should not vote for SYD, because God is with us. When we listened to the traditional chiefs during our visit, we knew that everything they said carried the authority of the Emir of Ilorin. SYD is the right candidate. He has been very supportive of the administration, and that gives us confidence that he will not disappoint us,” Bibire said.
Earlier, Danladi lauded the traditional chiefs, party faithful, and stakeholders in the two local governments for their support, expressing confidence that the APC will emerge victorious at the polls.
