Kogi State University receives N4.8m from NELFUND for student loans

Kogi State University, Kabba, has received a total of ₦4,816,200 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), designated to cover the school fees of 27 students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

According to a letter of acknowledgment dated September 15, 2025, and signed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. K.I.T. Eniola, the payment was made to the university's school fees account on September 12, 2025.

The letter, addressed to the Managing Director/CEO of NELFUND in Abuja, expresses the university's appreciation to the Nigerian government for its commitment to providing increased access to tertiary education for students.

The University also noted that it looks forward to continued collaboration and partnership with NELFUND to further support its student body.

The disbursement is part of the broader federal government initiative to provide interest-free loans to Nigerian students to help them finance their education.
