KCPC seals firm over alleged mislabeling

The Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KCPC) has sealed NUCCY GLOBAL INDUSTRIES LTD following complaints regarding the quality and accuracy of product information on machines manufactured by the company.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the stated power capacities on certain machines ranging from grinding to water processing equipment did not correspond with their actual specifications.

Armed with a court order, the Council enforced the closure of the premises pending further investigations.

The Executive Secretary of KCPC, Dr. Ibrahim Garba Muhammad, emphasized that manufacturers and traders are legally obligated to respect consumer rights by providing accurate and complete information prior to purchase.

He encouraged the public to report suspicious business practices and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration in promoting industrial standards and a safe business environment across the state.
