The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has commended the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for strengthening its foothold in Ondo State’s political landscape.
Speaking during a solidarity visit to the SDP secretariat in Akure, the state IPAC Chairman, Olaoluwa Adesanya, described the party as a formidable opposition with growing influence. He praised the leadership of Barrister Gbenga Akinbuli, noting his contributions to deepening democracy in the state.
Adesanya stressed that IPAC’s role was to engage in constructive criticism rather than blind opposition, adding that the Council also recognizes genuine strides in governance.
Echoing the chairman’s remarks, IPAC Secretary, Alex Adeniyi, said Akinbuli’s recognition within the Council was timely and well-deserved, expressing confidence that his involvement would further strengthen democracy in Ondo.
In his response, Akinbuli appreciated the Council’s leadership for the solidarity visit and pledged continued support for its programmes.
Other leaders on the visit included Jenyo Ataunoko, Chairman of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), and Elder Funso Felix Owaro, IPAC Treasurer and Chairman of the Action Revival Movement (ARM).
