INKspiredng Book Reading series returns with Babatunde Adesokan in Ep. 2

The INKspiredng Book Reading Series is set to return with its second episode of 2025, featuring poet and author Babatunde Adesokan, whose acclaimed work Canticles for Abeni will take centre stage at the virtual gathering. The event is scheduled for Sunday, 7 September, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM (WAT) and will be hosted live via Google Meet.

This latest instalment of the literary series reaffirms INKspiredng’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant community of writers, readers, and creatives across the continent. Known for its engaging format, the series offers an opportunity for audiences to interact directly with featured authors, listen to selected readings, and delve into meaningful discussions around their craft and inspirations.

Speaking ahead of the session, the INKspiredng team described Canticles for Abeni as “a lyrical exploration of love, identity, and cultural memory.” They noted that the event will allow participants to experience Adesokan’s poetic voice while gaining insight into his creative process.

The evening will include a live reading from the collection, a moderated discussion, and an open Q&A segment where attendees can pose questions to the author in real time.
