Mr Babatunde Hunpe, Chairman of Badagry Local Government Area, on Tuesday congratulated Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi on his unanimous re-election as Lagos APC chairman.

Hunpe conveyed the message through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Augustine Kriko, in Badagry.

He said Ojelabi’s return reflected the confidence and trust party leaders and members across Lagos continued to repose in his leadership.

“Your well-deserved return to office is a clear reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in your leadership.

“As a dogged grassroots mobiliser and committed progressive, you have demonstrated remarkable capacity in steadily guiding our great party and strengthening its structures across Lagos.

“Your tenure has been defined by innovative ideas, an open-door leadership style, respect for party ethos, and unwavering commitment to competence and character.

“These qualities continue to inspire confidence among party faithful and consolidate the unity and progressive ideals of our party,” he said.

Hunpe also congratulated Ms Damilola James on her election as Assistant Woman Leader of the APC in Lagos State.

“Your emergence is a testament to your dedication, resilience and unwavering commitment to grassroots mobilisation and the advancement of women within the progressive family.

“Your passion, energy and sense of service embody the ideals of inclusive leadership our party promotes.

“I am confident your new responsibility will strengthen women’s participation and influence in the party.

“Your leadership will inspire greater involvement, nurture emerging voices and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of our great party,” he said.

Hunpe congratulated other members of the State Executive on their victories and wished them a successful tenure.

Newsmen reports that delegates from 376 wards affirmed the executive list by voice vote at the party’s congress in Lagos.

Ojelabi pledged to deepen grassroots mobilisation and expand youth and women inclusion as part of the party’s growth strategy.
