Prince Usman Hamzat, Executive Chairman, Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, in Lagos State,on Tuesday congratulated Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi on his re-election as  State APC Chairman.

This is contained in a statement  issued by Mr Lateef Salaam, Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman.

Hamzat also congratulated Mrs Olufunke Olaleye on her re-election as Assistant Financial Secretary, alongside other newly elected officers, praising their dedication and loyalty to the party.

He emphasised Olaleye’s strong political roots in Ifako-Ijaiye, recalling her service as councillor and supervisory councillor in the council area.

Hamzat said that Ojelabi and Olaleye’s re-emergence would strengthen APC structures, ensuring sustainable development in Ifako-Ijaiye and the state in general.

The council  boss urged Olaleye to leverage her experience, synergise with state leadership, and deliver impactful contributions to the party’s progress.

He commended APC leaders for conducting a transparent congress, appreciating stalwarts for fostering continuity and stability in party leadership.

Hamzat  thanked party members for their commitment, noting that unity remains the foundation of APC’s strength in the state.

He urged the new executive members  to exceed expectations,and wished them a fruitful and successful tenure in service.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that no fewer than 2,000 delegates affirmed Ojelabi and other executives through consensus at the congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Sports Arena,Onikan.

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, who were both part of the congress, described  the exercise as a demonstration of transparency and collective responsibility.
