Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep grief over the passing of the President of the National Patriotic Elders Forum for Peace and Unity, Dr. Bature AbdulAziz, describing his death as a painful and monumental loss to both Kano State and Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the Governor paid glowing tributes to the late elder statesman, characterizing him as a rare breed whose life was defined by patriotism, courage, and an unwavering commitment to peace and national stability.

Governor Yusuf highlighted Dr. AbdulAziz’s dual impact as a respected business icon and a community leader who consistently deployed his influence to promote social harmony.

The Governor noted that the deceased was a staunch defender of constructive government policies, driven by the belief that no authority can succeed without the genuine understanding and support of its citizens.

Describing him as a bridge-builder who spoke truth with wisdom, Governor Yusuf emphasized that Dr. AbdulAziz stood for the national interest above personal or sectional considerations, a virtue that earned him profound respect across generations and political divides.

The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Dr. AbdulAziz, members of the National Patriotic Elders Forum for Peace and Unity, and the entire people of Kano State.
