Gov Radda flags off Katsina 2024/2025 bursary payments, commissions scholarship board projects
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, will on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, flag off the disbursement of bursary allowances for the 2024/2025 academic session to students of Katsina State origin.
The event, scheduled to hold at the Katsina State Scholarship Board Complex, Kofar Sauri, Katsina, will also feature the commissioning of key projects executed by the Scholarship Board as part of efforts to strengthen student support and institutional efficiency.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the state government said the ceremony would include the presentation of the Katsina State Government Award of Academic Excellence to students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
The statement reads partly:
“The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, will on Wednesday, 24th December 2025, flag off the disbursement of the 2024/2025 bursary allowances to students of Katsina State origin.
“The ceremony will take place at the Katsina State Scholarship Board Complex, Kofar Sauri, Katsina, at 10:00am prompt, where the Governor is also expected to commission key projects executed by the Scholarship Board.
“The event will feature the Katsina State Government Award of Academic Excellence, instituted to recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance.
“In line with the administration’s inclusive education policy, special scholarship awards will be presented to students with disabilities and special educational needs, reaffirming the commitment to equal access to education.”
The state government also disclosed that sanitary kits would be distributed to female students as part of measures aimed at promoting dignity, hygiene, and student welfare in schools.
The programme will further witness the commissioning of the newly constructed Office of the Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Scholarship Board, as well as Phase I of the renovation and upgrade of the Scholarship Board Complex.
The projects are expected to improve service delivery and enhance operational efficiency.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Scholarship Board, Dr Aminu Salisu Tsauri, said the bursary disbursement and infrastructure upgrades reflect Governor Radda’s commitment to transparent, efficient, and timely scholarship administration.
Dr Tsauri noted that the improved facilities would provide a more conducive environment for students and stakeholders, stressing that education remains a central pillar of the Radda administration’s development agenda.
