Gov Radda begins statewide tour of 34 LGAs

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, on Friday began a comprehensive statewide tour of all 34 Local Government Areas, with Danja LGA serving as the first stop.

The governor arrived Danja in company of a high-powered delegation, including commissioners, special advisers, permanent secretaries and senior government officials.

The team is focusing on key sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, rural infrastructure and local security initiatives.

According to the state government, the tour aims to assess ongoing projects, flag off completed ones, and engage directly with residents across all LGAs to ensure even development.

Governor Radda is also expected to meet traditional rulers, community leaders and stakeholders to gather first-hand feedback for improved planning and implementation of government programmes.

During Friday’s engagement in Danja, the governor interacted with traditional leaders, community groups and residents, reviewing current government interventions and identifying priority needs.

The visit placed emphasis on agricultural development, strengthening primary healthcare, improving basic education facilities, upgrading rural infrastructure and addressing local security concerns.

The statewide LGA tour, government officials noted, reinforces the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability and grassroots inclusion, in line with the “Building Your Future” development agenda. It is also expected to ensure that all LGAs receive direct attention, project verification and sustained government support.
