Gov Adeleke, Oyetola mourn APC Chieftain, Adeniji, sympathise with family

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has commiserated with the family of the National Director of Administration of the All Progressives Congress APC (APC), Dr Rauf Adekunle Adeniji (Congo) who recently passed away.
Governor Adeleke who expressed his deep pain over the void that his loss represents for the state and Nigeria as a whole, offered his heartfelt condolences to the Ooni of Ife and the entire people of Ile-Ife on the demise of one of its illustrious sons.
While also conveying his sympathy to the APC family in Osun and Nigeria in general for the difficult experience that the irreparable loss of Dr Adeniji represents, Governor Adeleke prays to God Almighty to grant the soul of the deceased an eternal rest.
"I am deeply saddened by the news of the demise of Dr Rauf Adetunji Adeniji (Congo) and offers my sincere condolences to his family, the Ooni of Ife and the people of Ife who lost one of its promising lights. Additionally, I send my sympathy to the APC family on this painful loss," Governor Adeleke noted in a condolences message.
"When news of his return flooded the media space yesterday, I had thought the worst was over but shocking to learn that he eventually passed away. His exit was too sudden and devastating and I joined everyone touched by this troubling experience in mourning the departed politician.
"It is my earnest hope that the impacts of Dr Adeniji within the short time he was here with us are enough to give strength to those burdened by the emotional trauma of his sudden passing just as I pray to Almighty God to grant our departed brother peaceful rest with his creator."
Similarly, Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, on Friday expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Director of Administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC), AbdulRauf Adeniji.
In a condolence message issued by his Adviser on Media and Communication, Bolaji Akinola, Oyetola extolled the virtues of the late Adeniji, describing him as a seasoned administrator and a loyal, committed party chieftain.
“The late Adeniji was a true progressive, an upright, loyal, and committed party stalwart who served the APC and the people of Ife Central Local Government with unmatched dedication and sincerity,” Oyetola said.
He noted that Adeniji, who held a PhD in Public Administration, previously served as an Assistant Registrar at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
According to the Minister, Adeniji’s transition into politics saw him elected Chairman of Ife Central Local Government Area, where he championed inclusive governance and earned the respect of his constituents.
“This is a tragic and painful loss, not only to his immediate family but also to our party, our state, and the nation at large,” Oyetola said.
“Dr. Adeniji was a brilliant mind, a bridge builder, and a grassroots mobiliser whose contributions to governance and party administration will never be forgotten. His death in such a cruel and unfortunate manner is heartbreaking.”
He offered heartfelt condolences to Adeniji’s family, the APC community, and the people of Ife, praying that God forgives his shortcomings and grants him eternal rest.
He also prayed for strength for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
