Gbajabiamila endorses Hamzat to succeed Sanwo-Olu

The Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, has endorsed the governorship ambition of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat.

The endorsement, was disclosed during a consultative visit by the Deputy Governor as the race to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu intensifies.

While testifying to the capacity and competence of the Deputy Governor, Gbajabiamila expressed total confidence in Hamzat’s ability to lead the state, asserting that Lagos would be in safe hands under his governance.

He commended Hamzat for his humility and commitment to the political process, noting that despite his high-ranking position, the Deputy Governor has refused to take his aspirations for granted by embarking on extensive consultations with key stakeholders.

During the engagement, the President’s Chief of Staff publicly pledged the support of his political base, stating that his constituency in Surulere is fully committed to Hamzat’s victory.

He emphasized that his support for the Deputy Governor is rooted in a long-standing recognition of his honor and administrative track record, urging Hamzat to proceed with his campaign with the full assurance of his backing.
