The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Murtala Sule Garo officially assumed duty at the Government House in Kano on Wednesday.

His resumption was marked by the presence of prominent political figures, including former governors Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, alongside several members of the National Assembly and the Minister of State for the FCT, Mariya Bunkure.

Speaking at the event, Garo expressed his sincere appreciation to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the confidence reposed in him and thanked the leaders of the APC who accompanied him to his new office.

He assured those present that he would heed the advice and admonitions offered by the elder statesmen, pledging to remain loyal and serve diligently under the current administration.

Garo reiterated the administration’s commitment to the “Kano First Agenda,” which prioritizes the welfare of the people through sustained investments in education, healthcare, water supply, and agriculture.

Former Governors Shekarau and Ganduje both advised the Deputy Governor to prioritize patience and loyalty as key virtues for his success, providing assurances of their continued guidance and support as he begins his tenure.
