FCMB, Truecaller partner to enhance customer communication, trust

First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has announced a strategic partnership with Truecaller to improve how it communicates with customers.
The collaboration aims to enhance trust, reduce fraud, and ensure that all communication between the bank and its customers is both secure and seamless.
Through this partnership, FCMB will use Truecaller’s Customer Experience Solution and Branded Caller ID. This means that when customers receive a call from the bank regarding transaction alerts, security notifications, or service updates, their mobile screens will display FCMB’s verified name, logo, and brand details. This move is designed to combat fraud and impersonation scams, providing customers with instant assurance that the calls are genuine.
In addition to the Branded Caller ID, FCMB has launched its official Business Page on the Truecaller app. This feature allows customers to independently find and engage with the bank directly within the app, further building trust before any call is even made. The bank believes these new capabilities will strengthen its digital identity, improve communication efficiency, and boost the credibility of its outreach efforts.
Rotimi Famuwagun, Chief Information Officer at FCMB, stated that this partnership reinforces the bank's commitment to customer safety and trust. "When customers see the verified FCMB name along with our brand identity on incoming calls, they can be assured of transparency, authenticity, and care behind every interaction," he said.
Priyam Bose, Global Head, GTM & Developer Products at Truecaller, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of trust in the financial sector. He praised FCMB for setting a new standard for responsible and modern customer communication by adopting Truecaller's solution.
FCMB, a leading financial institution known for its focus on innovation and customer service, is confident this partnership will create a more secure and satisfying banking experience for its millions of customers.
