El-Rufai’s son resigns from APC, joins ADC

Son of former Kaduna state Governor, Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, the member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Banking Regulations, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The announcement was made during Thursday’s plenary session by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas.

El-Rufai confirmed the move in a signed statement, noting that he will be seeking re-election under his new party to continue representing his constituents.

The lawmaker was joined in this move by two other legislators from Kaduna State, Hon. Engr. Suleiman Richifa of Soba and Hon. Umar Ajilo of Makarfi/Kudan, who also joined the ADC.

Commenting, the described the move as a strategic effort to build a home for progressive, people-focused service.
Reflecting on the decision, the lawmaker stated that he is guided by the courage and conviction inherited as a proud son of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

He emphasized that his work for Kaduna North continues and that he remains committed to delivering quality representation without compromise.

As a demonstration of this commitment, El-Rufai announced that he will soon inaugurate an ad hoc committee for a Primary Health Care initiative.

This program aims to equip local health centers with essential medical supplies, starting with 1,000 syringes per center in Unguwar Sarki and Badarawa/Malali Wards.

El-Rufai further called for divine guidance in serving the people and finding the best leaders for Nigeria.
