The Ekiti State Government has received the sum of N571.777 million as part of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund from the Federal Government to provide treatment for pregnant women, children, and other residents in need of primary and emergency care.

The allocation was drawn from the N29.28 billion released by President Bola Tinubu for the first and second quarters of 2025 to all 36 states of the federation in line with the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund.

Residents of Ekiti State are encouraged to enrol through the State Social Health Insurance Authority (SSHIA) to confirm their eligibility and obtain a HUWE card. Enrolment also requires visiting a Primary Health Care facility with a valid identity card and passport photograph.

Other states also received their share of the funds, with Abia State allocated N602.64 million, Adamawa State N873.47 million, Akwa Ibom State N823 million, Anambra State N799.17 million, Bauchi State N968.6 million, Bayelsa State N420.97 million, Benue State N814 million, Borno State N1.068 billion, Cross River State N647 million, Delta State N664.7 million, Ebonyi State N693.6 million, Edo State N559.77 million, Enugu State N848.64 million, and Gombe State N592.67 million.

Imo State received N796 million, Jigawa State N1.207 billion, Kaduna State N939 million, Kano State N1.685 billion, Katsina State N1.266 billion, Kebbi State N796.8 million, Kogi State N692.1 million, Kwara State N573.9 million, Lagos State N647.16 million, Nasarawa State N577.73 million, Niger State N1.015 billion, Ogun State N631.7 million, Ondo State N584.92 million, Osun State N765 million, Oyo State N830.8 million, Plateau State N752 million, Rivers State N863 million, Sokoto State N1.060 billion, Taraba State N736 million, Yobe State N709 million, Zamfara State N798 million, and the Federal Capital Territory N403.3 million.
