Members of the Ekiti State Beer, Wine, Food, and Drink Sellers Association have thrown their support behind Governor Biodun Oyebanji's bid for a second term, praising his efforts to promote a business-friendly atmosphere and drive economic advancement across the state.

The endorsement was formally announced during a road walk held on Monday, with members of the association converging on the Governor’s Office in Ado Ekiti to express their support.

The group commended Governor Oyebanji for his pivotal role in strengthening micro and small enterprises, describing the current business climate as encouraging for entrepreneurs, especially those in the beverage and hospitality sectors.

Speaking on behalf of the association, its President, Mr Williams Ogundare, said the Governor had shown unwavering commitment to the prosperity of local businesses through several policies and initiatives that have improved the ease of doing business for small and medium-scale enterprises.

Ogundare praised the administration’s achievements in infrastructure development, support for indigenous businesses, and the streamlining of tax policies that favour economic expansion.

He added that these developments have had a tangible impact on both the state and their sector, reinforcing the need to back Governor Oyebanji for another term in order to build on the progress already made.

Responding on behalf of the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Habibat Adubiaro, thanked the association for its endorsement, describing it as a testament to the beneficial effect of the administration’s business-oriented policies.

Professor Adubiaro reiterated the government’s resolve to continue tackling the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, particularly within the food and beverage industry, and pledged sustained support for economic growth across all sectors.

She further stated that Governor Oyebanji regards the endorsement as a renewed call to service, vowing that a second term would not only build upon the achievements of his first but also introduce new policies aimed at expanding opportunities and enhancing the well-being of all Ekiti residents.
