The Oyo State Government has charged all Muslim faithful in the state to use the occasion of the 2025 Eid el Mawlid to pray for government at the various level.
Acting Gov. Bayo Lawal gave the charge on Thursday in Ibadan According to a statement issued by the Special Assistant to Gov. Seyi Makinde, on Print Media, Moses Alao.
Lawal who congratulated the Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria for witnessing the day underscored the spiritual importance of Eid-el-Mawlid
He said that the day could not be underestimated, “as it commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammed”.
He noted that the Eid-el-Mawlid presented Muslims with a glorious opportunity to be closer to God in worship and to seek His face on diverse issues.
The acting gover8 also appreciated the Muslim Ummah in the state for their support for the Makinde’s administration over the last six years.
He called on them to continue to support the administration “as it works hard to deliver sustainable development to the state.
“Our commitment to deliver sustainable development and reposition Oyo state remains solid, but we can only achieve this through the support and cooperation of the people.
“As we all go about celebrating this Eid-el-Mawlid, let me reassure you that our government will ensure maximum security, but residents must also help us by being vigilant,”
