The families of Deputy Governor Idahosa and Enabulele in Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State have announced the peaceful passing of their matriarch, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa (née Enabulele), who died on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 95.

Madam Idahosa was the mother of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa. Her passing marks the end of a long and impactful life defined by deep faith, resilience, and unwavering commitment to family and community values.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Friday Aghedo, the family described the late nonagenarian as a revered matriarch whose life was a testament to strength of character, humility, and service.

“She lived a long, fulfilled, and impactful life, leaving behind a legacy of wisdom, compassion, and devotion that continues to inspire all who knew her,” the statement noted.

Family members expressed gratitude to God for the life she lived and the values she instilled in generations, noting that her influence would remain a guiding light for both the immediate and extended family.

Beyond her role within the family, Madam Idahosa was regarded as a pillar in her community, known for her counsel, moral guidance, and dedication to fostering unity and harmony among relatives and associates.

Her longevity and life journey were celebrated as a blessing, reflecting a legacy built on faith, discipline, and service to others.
