DMO opens FGN savings bond for subscription

The Debt Management Office (DMO) has opened the Federal Government of Nigeria Savings Bond (FGNSB) offer for September 2026.

According to a notice posted by the DMO, the authority is offering a 2-year FGN Savings Bond due September 16, 2028, at an interest rate of 14.12% per annum. A 3-year FGN Savings Bond due September 16, 2029, at an interest rate of 15.12% per annum, will also be offered to successful investors.

The offer opened on September 7 and closes on September 11, 2026, with the settlement date set for September 16, 2026. The first coupon payment is scheduled for December 16, 2026, with subsequent interest payments made quarterly.

The FGN Savings Bond targets retail investors, with a minimum subscription amount of ₦5,000 and subsequent investments in multiples of ₦1,000, up to a maximum limit of ₦50 million.
