Cutix Plc External Auditor resigns

Leading indigenous cable and wire manufacturer Cutix Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), shareholders, and the capital market of the resignation of its statutory external auditing firm, Messrs Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co.
The regulatory notification, signed by the company’s management, stated that the company received the formal letter of resignation from the auditing firm on July 24, 2026.
The disengagement officially took effect from August 28, 2026, coinciding with the conclusion of the company’s 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
According to the letter released on the exchange, Ngozi Monica Okonkwo & Co decided to step down following an internal strategic review of their professional audit portfolio.
The audit firm concluded that it would discontinue its external audit mandate with Cutix Plc upon the successful conclusion and delivery of the statutory audit for the financial year ended April 30, 2026.
Addressing the transition, Cutix Plc stated, “The Board of Directors has taken note of the resignation and has commenced the process of appointing a replacement External Auditor, subject to the necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals. The Company will make further disclosure to NGX upon the appointment of the new External Auditors and completion of the applicable approval processes.”
The company assured market stakeholders that the transition process is being executed strictly in compliance with the NGX Listing Rules, the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), and corporate governance codes to ensure unbroken continuity in its accounting and statutory reporting cycles.
