In a significant move to strengthen the administrative framework of the Bayelsa State Civil Service, Governor Douye Diri has approved the appointment of 18 new Permanent Secretaries.

The announcement, released on Monday by the Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Mr. Buruboyefe Perekiye John, marks a major step in the administration’s efforts to enhance service delivery and fill critical leadership vacancies within the state’s ministries.

The newly appointed senior officials include Awana Raymond, Egbuson Pere Amanda, Ogregade Ileimokumo, and Ketebu Josephine Thompson.

Other career civil servants elevated to the rank include Burutolu Obalakumo Samuel, Bomotei Zachaeus Anne, Dagogo Edmundson, Enuma Charles, and Salbot .A. Owil.

The list also features medical and engineering professionals, such as Dr. Stow Yerinbuluemi Jones and Engr. Cole Otonye James, alongside Efeke Pereyi, Doyowei Edward Pulotua, Toloko Sylvester .E., Ede-Alakere Goodluck Tarila, Torutein Ovienadu, Ogbara Fanmene Faith, and Vincent Jonathan .E.

Governor Diri extended his warm congratulations to the appointees, emphasizing the importance of integrity and professional excellence in the discharge of their new responsibilities.

The Civil Service Commission stated that these appointments are effective immediately, though a specific date for the formal swearing-in ceremony will be communicated to the appointees and the public in a separate notice.
