Hon. Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, the member representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, has categorically denied allegations linking her or her supporters to the violence that disrupted the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Congress in Oluyole.

In a statement released by her media office on Monday, the lawmaker described the accusations as baseless and politically motivated attempts to tarnish her reputation.

Akande-Sadipe clarified that she was not present at the venue during the incident and maintained that she has never condoned violence as a tool for political engagement.

The Oluyole congress was reportedly marred by clashes over the weekend, leading to injuries and a breakdown of order. Seeking to clear the air, Akande-Sadipe called for a thorough and impartial investigation by security agencies and party leadership to identify the actual perpetrators.

She urged the investigative team to review all available evidence, including eyewitness accounts and audiovisual recordings from the scene, to ensure that those culpable face the full weight of the law and party regulations.

Beyond the immediate denial, the lawmaker expressed concern over the weaponization of unverified allegations within the political space, warning that such tactics only serve to deepen mistrust and destabilize the party.

She reaffirmed her loyalty to the APC and her commitment to upholding the principles of internal democracy and peaceful coexistence.

Akande-Sadipe extended her sympathies to those injured during the fracas and commended security operatives for their swift intervention in restoring calm.

She concluded by urging stakeholders, including youth leaders and ward executives in Oluyole, to rise above factional rhetoric and prioritize unity, noting that the strength of the APC lies in its ability to remain disciplined and focused on collective progress rather than internal division.
