Deadly Cult gang expands to four states, kills 56 youths in Ibadan

A notorious cult group known as the Evans Square Gang has reportedly expanded its violent operations across four states, Oyo, Ogun, Kano, and Benue leaving a trail of deaths, kidnappings, and fear among residents.
Reports indicate that the gang killed no fewer than 56 youths in Ibadan, Oyo State, after they allegedly refused to join the group. Witnesses said the cult members have been targeting young people who resist recruitment, using guns and axes to carry out brutal attacks.
Sources identified some of the suspected members of the gang as Lasisi Ibrahim, Tunde Salami, Bolaji Tijani, Joseph Lala, and Sunday Shodipe.
Residents in the affected areas have called on security agencies and state governments to act swiftly to dismantle the gang and restore safety in their communities.
Police authorities in the affected states are yet to issue an official statement as of the time of filing this report.
