The Board of BUA Foods Plc has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Isyaku Abdulsamad Khalifa Rabiu as the company’s new Chief Officer, Global Procurement and Strategic Operations.

Khalifa, who is the son of BUA Group Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu, steps into this executive role with a track record of driving strategic initiatives across several of the conglomerate’s key sectors.

According to the company, Khalifa is an accomplished leader with professional experience spanning the food, cement, and animal feed industries. In his new capacity, he is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reinforce supply chain resilience, and optimize costs to support the organization’s long-term sustainable growth.

Prior to this appointment, Khalifa played a pivotal role as the Director of Special Operations (DSO) for BUA Group.

During his tenure, he significantly impacted strategic raw-material procurement, with a particular focus on improving wheat sourcing and supply continuity.

He was also instrumental in the establishment of a 40-metric-tonne-per-hour animal feed mill and led the commercial efforts for the successful reintroduction of BUA rice products into the Nigerian market.

Khalifa’s academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Regent’s University London and a Master’s in Management (MiM) from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

The board expressed confidence that his expertise and academic training will be vital assets in his new role as the company continues to scale its operations globally.
