The All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded 156 votes at the S.S. Peter and Paul, Sunmoye Primary School polling unit during the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, trailing Accord, which emerged with the highest number of votes at the unit.

According to the official result sheet, Form EC 8A, released after the voting and counting process, Accord polled 320 votes, while the APC secured 156 votes.

The result showed that 498 voters were accredited at the polling unit, while 484 votes were declared valid. Fourteen ballots were rejected, with no spoiled ballot recorded.

Accord’s result was entered as “Three hundred and twenty only,” giving the party a lead of 164 votes over the APC.

The APC result was recorded as “One hundred and fifty-six only,” making it the second-highest result among the political parties that participated at the polling unit.

Other parties recorded considerably lower figures. The AAC received two votes, while the ADC and ZLP each scored three votes. Several other parties, including AA, ADP, APGA, APM, APP, BP, NNPP, PRP, SDP and YPP, recorded zero votes.

The result sheet, signed by the relevant polling agents, indicated that the counting process was completed at the polling unit and the scores were entered accordingly.

The figures also showed that the total valid votes of 484 matched the combined votes credited to all participating parties.

The APC’s 156 votes represented a significant share of the valid ballots cast, but it was not enough to overtake Accord, which dominated the polling unit.

The result sheet recorded 1,270 registered voters at the unit, with 498 accredited voters taking part in the voting process.

As the collation of results continues across Osun State, results from individual polling units such as Sunmoye are expected to contribute to the overall outcome of the governorship election.

The figures from the polling unit therefore place Accord ahead of the APC at Sunmoye, with other political parties trailing behind in the local contest.
