The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gada Local Government Area of Sokoto State has dismissed reports of a mass defection of its members to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement signed by the Gada LGA party chairman, Alhaji Zayyanu Barau, the APC said the alleged defections were nothing more than propaganda designed to create unnecessary tension and confusion among the public.
Barau emphasized that the APC in Gada remains strong, united and fully loyal to the party’s structures at both the state and national levels. He reaffirmed support for Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto and Senator Aliyu Wamakko, stressing that the party’s grassroots base continues to stand firmly with the APC.
“Our bond with the people is rooted in integrity, service delivery and a genuine commitment to their welfare and development. The APC in Gada remains focused and unshaken in its mission,” Barau stated.
The chairman urged residents of Gada to disregard what he called baseless reports and continue to place their trust in the APC, which he described as the only platform with the capacity to deliver real progress for the people of Sokoto State.
