The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has refuted claims that its delegates were stranded during recent party activities, describing the report as false and misleading.
In a statement issued by its spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the party dismissed a publication alleging that Lagos delegates were left stranded due to non-release of mobilisation funds.
The APC stated that all accredited delegates from the state were transported to Abuja in an organised and coordinated manner, with adequate arrangements made for their comfort.
It added that upon arrival, the delegates were provided with suitable accommodation, contrary to claims contained in the report.
The party also clarified that the Lagos State Government is not responsible for funding party activities, noting that logistics and finances are managed internally through party structures.
According to the statement, attempts to link the state government to party operations are misleading and aimed at confusing the public.
The APC further alleged that the report reflects a pattern of misinformation, urging the public to be cautious of unverified claims.
It called on Nigerians to rely on credible sources of information and to scrutinise sensational reports before accepting them as facts.
The party reiterated its commitment to strengthening internal unity and supporting good governance in Lagos State and across the country.
