Air Peace apologises to passengers over flight disruptions, gives reasons for delays

Air Peace, has tendered an apology to passengers over the widespread flight delays and cancellations experienced across its network in recent days, attributing the disruptions to a chain of unforeseen operational and environmental setbacks.
In a statement signed on Tuesday by the airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Oluwatoyin Olajide, the airline expressed regret for the severe inconveniences caused to travelers whose schedules were upended by the irregular operations.
Olajide clarified that the recent schedule instability stemmed from multiple factors beyond the airline’s direct control.
Key among these was a bird strike that grounded an aircraft for several days, an accidental false fire alarm that temporarily decommissioned another plane, and severe adverse weather conditions that forced diversions, substantial delays, and cancellations.
Operational hiccups were further aggravated by mandatory unscheduled maintenance checks and recurring bottlenecks in aviation fuel distribution across select airports.
Despite the mounting customer frustrations, the airline firmly maintained that it would never sacrifice passenger safety to meet flight schedules.
Olajide stressed that no aircraft under the carrier’s fleet is cleared for flight operations until technical teams fully satisfy mandatory airworthiness and safety protocols, adding that ground preservation will always take precedence over operational convenience.
The management reaffirmed that it is already rolling out immediate interventions to stabilize daily flight rosters, reinforce contingency plans, and significantly enhance real-time communication with affected travelers during unexpected operational emergencies.
