Adeleke fixing 12yrs of APC mess — Campaign Council

By Ismail Azeez
The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has stated that Governor Ademola Adeleke is fixing what it described as 12 years of All Progressives Congress (APC) mess in Osun State, thereby restoring public confidence in a better future for the state through impactful governance and people-oriented policies.
The Council, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, said the growing criticism from the APC was a clear indication that the opposition party was unsettled by Governor Adeleke’s performance and his widespread acceptance among the people of the state.
Olajengbesi noted that Governor Adeleke’s achievements across critical sectors have strengthened the resolve of Osun residents to support his re-election bid in the August 15 governorship election.
According to the statement, there is no better indicator that the Osun APC is deeply troubled by the depth of Governor Adeleke’s achievements than its infantile critique of progress and its perverse overview of his impact.
The council argued that, in an ideal situation, the Osun APC should be apologizing to the people for past misrule rather than pushing for the return of an old order that did nothing but inflict untold hardship and drag the state to the edge.
The group made bold to say that progress under Governor Adeleke is visible and that the direct beneficiaries are the Osun people.
This undisputed reality, according to Olajengbesi, makes the AMBO campaign restless, hence its daily dose of deliberate twists and lifeless propaganda in a desperate and failed bid to get the people to look its way.
The spokesperson added that winning the support of the public goes beyond merely throwing words around, especially when the people are yet to overcome the resultant pains of trusting the Osun APC with their mandate. If the AMBO campaign is serious about gaining the support of the people, it must do so by presenting what it comparatively achieved during its 12-year rule of the state.
The statement warned that the Osun APC and its campaign must never assume that Osun people have a short memory of the damage and pain inflicted on the state and its residents.
Governor Adeleke has spent the last three and a half years fixing their mess and restoring confidence in a better Osun State, building not only for today but also for generations yet unborn.
TICC expressed pride in campaigning on the record of the monumental achievements of Governor Adeleke, which it said have brought enormous joy and great relief to the people.
The council noted that Osun has transitioned from a place where labor was treated with contempt to one where dignity is restored and development is treated as a necessity that must be prioritized.
Despite any attempts by the Osun APC and its campaign to spin the truth, the council remains confident that the people will continue to stand by Governor Adeleke, who has brought exceptional transformation to the state. It is on the basis of what he has achieved and the impact made so far that Osun people are queuing behind his choice, positioned to make his re-election in the August 15 governorship poll a landslide victory.
