The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed a recent statement from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) alleging unpaid salaries as a fabricated falsehood and an attempt to deflect attention from national economic challenges.
Reacting to remarks attributed to the APC regarding the welfare of opposition party workers, the ADC labeled the claims as cheap propaganda designed to mask governance failures under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
In a press statement signed by National Publicity Secretary Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the opposition party maintained that the ruling party is attempting to manufacture crises to distract the public from pressing national issues.
The ADC emphasized that the upcoming political discourse should center on the rising cost of living, increasing insecurity, and unemployment rather than disputes involving the internal administration of political parties.
The party challenged the ruling administration to focus its energy on defending its track record in office and presenting policy solutions ahead of the 2027 general elections, rather than engaging in attacks against the opposition.
