International Data Center Authority (IDCA) Chairman and CEO, Mr. Mehdi Paryavi has predicted that the ability to compute will replace Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as the true measure of growth in the nearest future.

Paradise made this known when he paid a working to the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa recently.

The strategic engagement, focused on developing sustainable local capacity to retain Nigeria’s data within its borders, while positioning the country as a key player in the continent’s digital economy.

Led by NDBA President and CEO, Mr. Eric Okunde, the delegation introduced IDCA Chairman and CEO, Mr. Mehdi Paryavi, and his team to NITDA’s leadership.

Mr. Paryavi, in his remarks, commended Nigeria’s growing digital potential, highlighting the country’s strong connectivity, rich human capital, and abundant energy resources as vital strengths.

“The ability to compute will soon replace GDP as the true measure of growth,” he said, stressing that nations with strong digital infrastructure would define the next era of global progress.” He said.
