2027: Wike storms Obio/Akpor, vows to deliver massive votes for Tinubu

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that Rivers State and specifically Obio/Akpor Local Government Area will deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Wike made the declaration on Sunday at the grand finale of his statewide “Thank You” visit held at Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola.

The event witnessed a mammoth crowd of supporters, political leaders, and women groups.

Addressing the gathering, Wike commended the people for their steadfast loyalty since 1999.

He emphasized the strategic importance of the LGA, noting, "Obio/Akpor alone makes up about 40 percent of the votes in Rivers State, and nobody can toy with this local government."

The FCT Minister assured the President of the state's backing, stating, "The people of Obio/Akpor and Rivers State will vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027."

Wike also took a swipe at political rival Senator Azuta Mbata, criticizing him for personal family disputes.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA, Hon. Dr. Gift Worlu, described Wike as a "gift to Nigeria," praising him for facilitating appointments and projects for the area.

Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule, and other stakeholders including Rep. Kingsley Chinda and Barr. O.C.J. Okocha (SAN), reaffirmed their loyalty to Wike’s leadership and the Tinubu presidency.
