…Says image was manipulated, urges Nigerians to ignore falsehood
…Reaffirms loyalty to President Tinubu and Hope Agenda
The President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), has dismissed claims that he met with Labour Party leader Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 elections.
A viral photo suggesting the meeting was described by him as fake and photoshopped.
In a statement on Instagram, MC Oluomo said: “I have taken notice of a manipulated image and false news report circulating on social media, particularly in the northern part of Nigeria. The report falsely claimed that Peter Obi paid homage to me and vowed to work with me.
“This is entirely false and without basis.”
He noted that fact-checking platforms had already confirmed the photo was doctored, stressing that he had never received any message from Obi and is currently abroad.
MC Oluomo urged Nigerians to disregard the misinformation and rely on credible news sources. He further reaffirmed his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the administration’s Hope Agenda.
“I reaffirm my support for HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Hope Agenda,” he added.
